10 Walt Disney World Restaurants to Make Reservations for Couples

San Angel

Whether you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World as couple, or just spending a night out without the kids, there are a number of unique dining options that are perfect for couples. Read on to discover our picks for the best couples restaurants at Disney:

1. Victoria and Alberts

For the ultimate gourmet date-night experience, head over to Victoria and Albert’s at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Victoria and Albert’s is the only restaurant at Walt Disney World that has been given the AAA Four Diamond status, and is limited to guests over the age of twelve. While this dining experience might not be for everyone, it is definitely recommended for couples rather than families, and might be something nice to experience together at least once.

2. Coral Reef Restaurant

Fans of the hit television series Full House know exactly what I’m talking about. Even without an (almost) proposal, the Coral Reef Restaurant can be a nice romantic dinner spot. Surrounded by the giant tank where numerous kinds of fish and other undersea creatures can be viewed from the tables, the Coral Reef Restaurant features a menu with a healthy mix of seafood, salad, and steak, making it a hit regardless of one’s personal tastes.

3. Yachtsman Steakhouse

The Yachtsman Steakhouse, located at the Yacht Club Resort, always gets my pick for the best date-night destination. As the name suggests, this location is best suited for the couple that enjoys steak, however they also have the best lobster bisque I think I’ve ever tasted, and a visit here can easily include a walk around the other area resorts and Boardwalk. We tend to go to the Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner, before heading over to spend the rest of the night at Jellyrolls, the dueling piano bar located at the Boardwalk.

4. Be Our Guest

Another favorite date spot for us is Be Our Guest at the Magic Kingdom. There is no denying that the atmosphere and theming, particularly in the ballroom, are perfect for romantics. If you plan on dining at Be Our Guest, especially for dinner, be sure to make reservations as soon as possible as tables fill up quickly. And don’t forget to try the grey stuff, it’s delicious!

5. Via Napoli

Something about Italian restaurants in general seems to work well for dining as a couple. Perhaps it’s because of that scene in “Lady and the Tramp,” (which is probably why I almost put Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom on this list). Regardless, the food and atmosphere at Epcot’s Via Napoli is always a fun date spot, and although we prefer to dine here during lunch, I’m sure it would make an excellent pre-Illuminations meal as well.

6. California Grill

What could be more romantic than dining at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort with a perfect view of Wishes? Well, not much, which is why this restaurant has made the list. In my opinion, California Grill has one of the best menus at Walt Disney World– enough variety that everyone can find something he or she likes, but some more unique standouts like some of the sushi options truly make it memorable.

7. Boma

While Jiko, or Sanaa would also be great options for couples, we actually prefer the more relaxed atmosphere of Boma. The design of the restaurant is fascinating, and we love being able to pick and choose what we’d like to eat from the buffet. Though I would not usually recommend a buffet for a perfect couples experience, Boma is the exception due to the fun and relaxed atmosphere and beautiful details in the restaurant’s design. Plus, zebra domes anyone?

8. Spice Road Table

Another Epcot restaurant, Spice Road table makes the list due to its excellent food, and beautiful views right on the waterfront of World Showcase Lagoon. Spice Road table is also perfect for the couple who doesn’t like to plan, as it is one of the more underrated restaurants in the park– which means that there is usually plenty of availability for walk ups and you won’t need to make reservations too far in advance.

9. San Angel Inn

Just a few countries away in World Showcase is San Angel Inn, which scores points for the romantic nighttime ambiance that happens any time during the day. San Angel Inn technically still allows for waterfront dining, as the restaurant is situated by the water’s edge of the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride, and the candle lit tables and fun Mexican decorations also add to why we think this is a great location for couples.

10. 50’s Prime Time Cafe

This might sound like an unexpected addition to this list, but there is one major reason why we enjoy this restaurant when dining as a couple. The typical 50’s Prime Time experience is geared towards families, so dining at this location as a couple is a bit more unique and different. Of course, I’m not one to argue with 50’s comfort food and homey desserts, even on a hot, Florida afternoon.
