Walt Disney World Travel Tips That Ensure Your Best Visit Ever!

Disney World Entrance

A Walt Disney World Vacation can be one of the most magical vacations you will ever take. However, it does take a little planning to ensure you have the best time you could possibly have. Here are 10 tips to ensure that you have the best visit ever.

10. Memory Cards / Memory Space

I can honestly say that my picture count averages in the thousands with each and every one of my Disney trips. It truly helps having digital technology over film. There are so many different photographic areas all throughout WDW. It is important to have enough memory cards or space on your phone so you don’t run out of space during your trip.

9. Comfy Shoes

Walt Disney World is the size of a small city. It is a given that you will be doing quite a bit of walking during your stay. For this reason, it is very important to wear shoes that will do your feet a favor. A good set of insoles can help out tremendously. Another tip is to waterproof your shoes with some water repellent. It is almost certain that it will rain at some point, on one of your trips, even if it is just a short afternoon downpour.

8. Sunglasses

This one is pretty obvious. Florida is know as “The Sunshine State” for a reason. The sun almost seems brighter there. Having a back up pair is a good idea as well. I’m sure Walt Disney World has a massive collection of lost sunglasses that have fallen off on attractions.

7. Plan An Attraction Strategy

Planning a strategy for attractions is becoming easier with all of the newest technology that is available for Walt Disney World guests. The magic bands and the My Disney Experience app can make your day of riding your favorite attractions much more organized. This ensures your percentage of time standing in line is cut down tremendously.

6. Take Breaks

A full day at Walt Disney World can easily last in the upward of 15 hours or more. For this reason, it is important to take breaks throughout the day. It really helps to go back to your room, kick your shoes off and rest up for a short time. I learned this as I got older. When I went in my teens the word “break” wasn’t in my vocabulary. I would literally be sleeping on some attractions.

5. Bring Snacks

Although I am more of a fan at eating snacks made inside the park , it is a good plan to bring your own especially if you have kids. If you end up in a line for close to an hour it can help to have something to snack on. It can also be a good way to save money for more souvenirs!

4. Do Pre-Trip Research

The size of Walt Disney World can be intimidating for newer travelers to the resort. For this reason, it is very important to do plenty of research before your trip. There are many different websites with endless information available for whatever your Disney need may be.

Walt Disney World has some very unique and imaginative restaurants throughout the resort. They definitely fall under the category of not to be missed dining experiences. The reservations will fill up quickly. It is important to find the one you want to try and make a reservation early. Disney has gotten more strict with cancelations so be sure to refer to the official website as well.

2. Bring Patience

Being the number 1 tourist destination in the world will undoubtedly bring large crowds. When you plan your trip it is always good to utilize one of the many crowd calendars on the web. Sometimes the days they say are least crowded can end up being pretty busy. For this reason it is a good thing to bring some patience and an open mind. Just know that everyone else at the resorts are there to have a magical time and be entertained just like you and me!

1. Let Your Inner Child Break Free!

Walt Disney was quoted as saying “Adults are only kids grown up, anyway”. Bringing your inner child along while traveling to Walt Disney World is a MUST. It is totally ok to sing along with robotic pirates or talk to a 5 ft tall mouse. These will be common occurrences while on your vacation. This is one reason that WDW is such a desired destination for so many people adults and kids alike.

The excitement of a Walt Disney World vacation begins in the initial planning stages. From the time you arrive until the time you leave the most important thing is that you have an amazing time and you create memories that last a lifetime.
