10 Ways to Outwit the Crowds on Your Disney Vacation

8. Stay late

Park crowds diminish later at night, so if you’re visiting a park with late night hours, stay as long as your traveling party can tolerate.  This is one time when keeping kids up late can really pay off!  This is especially true for very late hours; for instance, when the Magic Kingdom stays open until midnight or later, you may just find yourself completely alone in “its a small world” or riding your favorites over and over again because there are no lines.

9. Enjoy Rides During Parades and Nighttime Shows

Disney’s parades and nighttime entertainment are all spectacular and fully worth watching.  That being said, it’s also a great time to go on rides with shorter wait times.  If you’ve already seen the parade or show during your trip, take the second opportunity to enjoy some nighttime rides.  Dumbo, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Jungle Cruise, and Splash Mountain are all great fun to ride at night at the Magic Kingdom!
