4. Package Pick-up and Delivery
This is one of my favorite perks available at a Disney Resort Hotel. When you are at a Disney Park and you find a special souvenir that you can’t walk away from but don’t want to carry it around all day, there is a solution. As a Disney Resort guest, you can have that souvenir sent to your Hotel Room without any extra charges. Just give the cashier your information, and usually by the next day your package will be delivered to your Hotel, and you will receive a message on your Hotel phone reminding you to pick it up.
This option is available at every shop in the parks, and Disney Springs. Also, most Resort Hotels have a package delivery service, where you can have your purchases sent to your home, for a nominal fee. This is so handy, especially for those guests who have arrived by airplane. We have used these services several times, and have had no problems with packing or delivery. I highly recommend taking advantage of this convenient service.
3. Extra Magic Hours
Extra Magic Hours are a special benefit for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and have valid theme park admission. Each day, select attractions are open longer at one of the theme parks, either before or after the parks are open to the general public, usually 1 hour before park opening, and 2 hours after park closing. Your Resort Hotel can give you a list of all the Magic Hours available during your stay.
For families with infants or younger children, the morning extra magic hour would be suitable for them, but if you can get a babysitter, the late hours are awesome, sometimes as late as 2am. I would say at least half the crowds leave at park closing, so you do get a lot more ride time, but also, the crowds remaining can be a bit more enthusiastic, but in a fun way. “Disney after Dark” is a unique experience, and even more so with the late magic hours.
2. Disney Resort Hotel Entertainment
When you stay on property at a Disney World Hotel, you are in for a truly magical experience. In addition to the premiere service and accommodations, the activity and entertainment options are incredible. There are uniquely themed swimming pools, excellent food courts and table service restaurants, movies under the stars, campfires with “smores” and sing-a-longs, jogging and walking trails, horse drawn carriage rides, bicycle and surrey rentals, playgrounds, game rooms, live entertainment, and so much more. You can spend a day away from the theme parks, and enjoy all the amenities your Disney Resort Hotel has to offer.
