13 Disturbing Things That Have Happened On Disney Transportation Over The Years

An SUV traveling on the wrong side of the road crashed head-on into a Disney bus near Animal Kingdom, resulting in a fire and a number of injuries.  The driver of the SUV, Megan-Hester Villalobos, was transported to a nearby hospital along with her husband and 7-year old son.  Eight bus passengers were also treated for minor injuries.  It was believed that Mrs. Hester-Villalobos fell asleep at the wheel.

While it can be worrisome to think that serious injuries and even death can occur on Disney transportation, guests can take comfort in the fact that most of the events on this list have led to the implementation of improved safety systems and more reliable policies and procedures.  If guests in turn could work to improve the human error component of incidents like these, Disney parks could be not only the happiest and most magical places on earth, but the safest as well!
