3. Minnie (as in Minnie Mouse) Van Service
This service offers door-to-door transportation for guests. Riders use the Lyft app to request a ride while on Walt Disney World property and can pay directly through the app. A WDW Cast member can pick up to seven passengers, including two car seats (at no extra cost). The Minnie vans will run from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. The vans are delightfully styled after Minnie’s favorite colors—red with white polk-a-dots.
2. Toy Story Land/Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Based on the very popular “Toy Story” movies, this new addition to Walt Disney World caters to the “child” in all of us. Just imagine being shrunk to the size of a toy to explore the world of Andy’s backyard with your favorite “Toy Story” characters, including Woody and Buzz. There will be two new themed attractions: “Slinky Dog Dash”-a family friendly roller coaster you will want to ride again and again. The other attraction, “Alien Swirling Saucers” is designed as a toy play set that Andy got from Pizza Planet. Aliens are flying around in their toy flying saucers and trying to capture your rocket goy vehicle with the “Claw”. Adding to the “Toy Story” Land adventure will be the addition of a third “Toy Story Mania” tack so that more guests can enjoy this very popular ride.
1. “Tron” Roller Coaster/Tomorrowland/Magic Kingdom
A version of this extremely popular ride from Shanghai Disneyland will be coming to Walt Disney World and will most likely be as popular in Florida as it is in Shanghai. Riders will climb aboard a futuristic cycle for a wild ride through a “Tron”-inspired universe. If you want to get a view of this exciting ride, check it out on YouTube. The Florida version may not be exactly the same, but the thrill factor will definitely be worth the wait.
Walt Disney World will be celebrating 50 years of magic in 2021. I know my family and friends are making our plans now to be a part of the “50 Years of Walt Disney World” celebration. It’s gonna be “Magical”!
