15 Things You Need to Know About Visiting Magic Kingdom

2. Magic Kingdom Shopping

Okay, let’s get serious.  No one can visit the Magic Kingdom and not leave with some sort of souvenir.  The shops are all over the place, in every land, and places in between.  There is no excuse for not bringing home some sort of memorbelia from this magical world of imagination.  I would have to say that my favorite shop in the Magic Kingdom is the Emporium on Main Street, USA.  You can literally enter the Emporium at one end near Town Square and walk the entire length of Main Street without ever going outside. Here is the kind of merchandise you will find here:  Mickey Mouse ear hats and headbands, Disney clothing and hats, Disney toys and movies, decorative mugs and home decor’, artwork, collecibles, snacks and sundries, sunglasses, disposable cameras and batteries, seasonal merchandise, and so much more.  What’s really cool is that the last shop opens right into Casey’s Corner, a very popular baseball themed counter service restaurant, serving hot dogs, fries, etc.  So basically, you can shop till you drop into Casey’s Corner for a nice, quick meal.

I am a working mother of four adult children, 2 granddogs, and one grandcat. I have been a Disney fanatic since 1959, when my parents took my sister and I on a journey across the country to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were thrilled, and this became our vacation destination for the next 10 years. Later, when Walt Disney World was opened, we travelled to Florida and discovered a whole new Disney experience, and WDW became our new vacation destination. Now, our extended family members are all Disney Fanatics and always ready to talk about anything Disney.
