15 Things You Need to Know About Visiting Magic Kingdom

12. Be Prepared

A day at the Magic Kingdom is filled with all sorts of surprises and magical happenings, so it’s a good idea to be ready for anything.  In other words, pack what I call a “Mary Poppins” bag or backpack filled with first aid items (band aids, antibiotic cream, ibuprofen, upset stomach medication, etc.), extra pairs of sunglasses, ponchos, light snacks, bottled water, etc.  Whatever you feel you might need in the course of a busy day at an amusement park should go in that bag.  You don’t want to have to buy any of these items at the Parks, because they will cost quite a bit more than what you can get at a discount store.

I am a working mother of four adult children, 2 granddogs, and one grandcat. I have been a Disney fanatic since 1959, when my parents took my sister and I on a journey across the country to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were thrilled, and this became our vacation destination for the next 10 years.
