20 Things You Will Love About Disney Value Resorts

All Star Movies Resort

20. The Convenience of Staying on the Property is Unmatched.

Regardless of the size, age and preferences of your travel party the convenience of staying on the Walt Disney World property is a winner. Being able to arrive at the magic with minimal travel time and immerse yourself in the magic for your entire vacation is so relaxing.

19. Value Resorts are a Great Way to Ease into the Culture of Disney Resorts.

For Walt Disney World resort newbies, starting with a value resort may be a great way to learn about Disney resorts and ease into Disney culture. I refer first time Disney resort guests to the value resorts because they will be impressed and excited about their first stay on the property without experiencing sticker shock.

18. There are Plenty of Cast Members to Answer Your Questions.

The cast members on hand to answer questions and make guest arrangements abound. If you have questions about parks, transportation, the resort or anything else Disney there are plenty of cast members willing to direct you and offer suggestions.

17. Learning Transportation Patterns is Easy.

While the array of transportation options that moderate and deluxe resorts offer can be nice, they can also be confusing at times. Value resorts are serviced completely by plenty of resort buses ready to transport you to and from the fun. Bus stops are in a central location with great clear signage to offer a stress free transportation experience.

16. You Get to Take Advantage of Extra Magic Hours.

Staying at any Walt Disney World resort will gain you extra park time known as extra magic hours. That’s right, you get the same extra time park perks as guests paying hundreds of dollars more per night to stay at a deluxe resort. Extra magic hours alone are worth paying to stay on the property. With the park open only to resort guests you will find much shorter wait times and much more manageable crowds in the parks.

15. There are Delicious Dining Options On Property.

Value resorts do not have a sit down restaurant on property; this does not mean that the dining options are any less abundant or delicious at value resorts. Disney’s value resorts have delicious walk up dining that caters to an array of tastes and preferences. The convenience of walking up and snagging great food fast, having the opportunity to linger and relax in the huge dining room if you choose to, or wake up early for a really great breakfast prior to a park day is fantastic!

14. Every Aspect of the Resort is Kid Friendly.

Walt Disney World is a wonderland for all kids. The value resorts fit a kid friendly description even more so. Maybe it’s the abundance of young families that frequent the resort, the larger than life theming or the laid back, loud and carefree vibes that are not always characteristic of deluxe resorts but value resorts seem to be especially kid friendly. Walk up dining options at value resorts make food sharing with young children easier and allow you to pick and choose components of your meal from different walk up counters in the same dining room. Chicken nuggets, Mickey cupcakes and carrot sticks for the kids have never been easier to find.

13. The Resort Shop is Fun.

You need not leave your resort for great shopping. Value resorts offer pretty large character shops filled with all things Disney. Souvenirs, clothing and unexpected vacation needs are all covered and readily available for guests in the resort gift shops.

12. The Theming Is Incredible.

A quick peek at the Disney website will leave you wowed at the incredible theming of the value resorts. Step into your favorite Disney films at Art of Animation, count down the decades at Pop Century or cheer on your favorite team at All-Star Sports. You will be crazy about the resort theming at every value resort.

11. Pools Surpass All Vacation Expectations.

Disney pools keep with the resort theming and strive to impress guests. Each value resort has a few pools to accommodate all guests and provide centrally located swimming options for most resort sectors. Nemo themed Big Blue Pool at Art of Animation, The Hippie Dippy Pool at Pop Century and the Surf Pool at All- Star Sports are all some of my favorite value resort swimming options.

10. The Resort Game Room Is Fun for Kids.

The resort game room is a big draw for kids of all ages. Reloadable coin cards make it easy to ration game money between kids. Playing table hockey or video games is the perfect break from the sun after the park or pool.

9. Activity Counselors Make the Resort Even More Fun.

Scheduled activities are another high point of staying at a Disney resort. Parents can relax poolside while kids play with other guests and activity counselors. Marco Polo, hula hoop contests, Disney name that tune and other games keep kids engaged and occupied in the pool.

8. Movies Under the Stars.

Each evening that the weather permits a Disney film is screened under the stars. This experience is free to resort guests and is the perfect way to help little ones wind down at the end of the day or take a break with the family before returning to the parks for extra magic hours later in the evening.

7. Resort Rooms That Will Wow Young Children.

If you are traveling with young children likely nothing will impress them hotel wise as much as sleeping in the middle of their favorite Disney films. Little Mermaid and Lion King rooms are just a few of the many expertly themed room options for guests staying at Disney’s Art of Animation resort. Overall, the bright fun colors, art and theming of resort rooms at all value resorts tend to excite children.

6. Quick and Easy Transport to Disney Springs.

Disney transportation is available from the value resorts to the nearby Disney Springs. With the new renovations almost complete and the close vicinity of Disney Springs to the value resorts you will certainly want to make a trip over to Disney Springs during your next Disney visit.

5. Resort Rooms Are Available for Larger Families.

All-Star Music and Art of Animation offer accommodations for larger families. Up to six adults can stay in Cars, Finding Nemo and Lion King suites at Art of Animation. This means that larger families do not have to sacrifice the budget in a deluxe villa to accommodate the whole family.

4. The Pricing Is Incredible.

If you have taken a few minutes to compare the cost of value resorts to surrounding hotels in the Orlando area you understand just how incredible the value resorts are on price. During lower traffic seasons guests can often snag resort rooms at value resorts for as low as $96 per night! During peak travel season expect to pay as much as $160 per night for a value room. Any way you slice it, the savings in parking, time, convenience, stress and the addition of extra magic hours makes staying on the property at a value resort totally worth the splurge.

3. Perfect for Affordable Weekend Trips.

If you live in a nearby area and are looking to make a quick weekend trip to Walt Disney World a value resort is a great match. My family prefers to spend less on a resort room during short trips when we know all of our time will be spent in the parks.

2. The Disney Magic Does Not Stop When the Park Day Ends.

This point goes for all Disney resorts. A big part of the value in staying on the Disney property is the feeling that you never leave the magic. The stress of the real world melts away as soon as you park your car at check in and you are free to enjoy all the fun of Disney on your own schedule. Staying at a value resort means you can feel better about the vacation budget but still enjoy the perks of living the carefree Disney life for a few days.

1. Disney Resorts Provide the Little Extras That Mean So Much.

The fun music piped in at the pool, the wonderful Mousekeeping staff that keep your hotel room sparkling and the enthusiastic pin trading cast members that welcome you at the resort door are just a few of the little extras that Disney offers that keep guests coming back. The Disney difference is certainly evident at the value resorts.
