A day at Walt Disney World is supposed to be about attractions, entertainment, and making memories. Every day, tens of thousands of guests pass through the resort without any issues. But behind the scenes, local law enforcement stays busy responding to everything from traffic accidents to more serious incidents.
A new monthly summary from local law enforcement, compiled by WDW Active Crime, shows deputies responded to 469 calls for service connected to Walt Disney World during July 2026.
While many of those calls involved routine situations, the report also included several incidents that stand out.
Traffic Crashes Topped the List
The largest category in July involved vehicle crashes, with deputies responding to 59 traffic accidents throughout the month.
Trespassing was another frequent issue, accounting for 39 calls, while deputies also handled 33 verbal fights, 25 suspicious incidents, and 23 well-being checks.
Battery-related calls remained common as well. The report lists 22 battery calls that were gone on arrival, 18 battery incidents, and two aggravated battery cases.
Elsewhere, deputies responded to 21 emergency 911 calls, seven petty thefts, six stolen vehicles, six physical fights, and five grand theft investigations.
Although those numbers may seem high, Walt Disney World operates more like a small city than a traditional theme park. Millions of guests visit the resort every year, meaning law enforcement routinely responds to everything from medical emergencies to lost property and traffic-related incidents.

Several Serious Calls Appeared
Beyond the more common calls, the report also documented several more serious investigations.
Deputies responded to two hotel burglary calls, two missing person cases, two missing endangered person calls, two child neglect investigations, and two threats or assault incidents.
The report also included one aggravated assault, one fraud investigation, one fishing violation, one hit-and-run, and one weapon discharge.
It's important to remember that these are calls for service rather than confirmed criminal cases. A dispatch call simply reflects why deputies were initially requested and doesn't necessarily mean a crime occurred or that anyone was arrested.
Weapon Discharge Linked to Cast Member Housing
One of the report's more unusual entries involved the single weapon discharge call.
The incident appears to match a July 14 response at Flamingo Crossings Village, the housing complex used by many Disney College Program participants and other Walt Disney World Cast Members. Deputies were dispatched during the evening following a reported weapon discharge. Few details have been publicly released, and officials have not disclosed whether anyone was injured or if criminal charges resulted.
Most Guests Never Experience These Incidents
Even with nearly 500 calls in a single month, the overwhelming majority of Walt Disney World guests complete their vacations without ever seeing a police officer respond to an incident.
Disney security and local law enforcement work together every day to handle situations ranging from medical emergencies to criminal investigations, often without disrupting the guest experience.
For visitors, the best advice remains straightforward: follow Cast Member instructions, respect park rules, and be considerate of those around you. Disney has taken a firm stance against disruptive behavior, and guests who violate policies can face removal from the parks, permanent trespass notices, or criminal charges.
A Walt Disney World vacation should be remembered for magical moments—not a visit from the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
