5 Fan-Favorite Resorts on Disney Property

5. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Every Disney hotel has a theme that is carried throughout the hotel in the form of artwork, decorations and more. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has an elaborate animation theme throughout the hotel, which makes this one of the most favorite Disney Resort hotels of Guests traveling to the parks with their families. The hotel is full of color—a wide array of colors, which probably serve to symbolize the color palates used in animating beloved Disney films. At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you’ll get to choose which area of rooms you’d like to enjoy. There are a few to choose from including The Little Mermaid area, The Lion King area, the Finding Nemo area and the Cars area. The hotel offers both standard rooms and suites, which sleep up to six Guests. Each area has a pool with designs inspired by the feature films. The largest pool at Disney World is at this resort in the Finding Nemo area—the Big Blue! And the massive pool also has underwater speakers that pump out music and the sounds of Dory and Nemo talking. If you’re hungry, you can catch a quick bite or drink at the Drop Off poolside bar or head to the Landscape of Flavors food court on site, and choose from snacks, meals to go, have-it-your-way pizza and pastas, burgers and more. Surrey bikes are also available for rent for 30 minutes or an hour at a time when you head out past the resort toward Hourglass Lake.

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
