5 Fan-Favorite Resorts on Disney Property

Unless you’re blessed enough to already live in the Orlando area, chances are you’re going to need lodging accommodations when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. There are hotels and resorts off Disney property, but staying at one usually requires traveling at least a short distance to the Disney parks. If you aren’t staying on Disney property, you also forfeit the chance to experience all the magic that Disney offers its resort hotel guests. Staying on Disney property affords you many perks including the ability to make FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance, the luxury of being close to the parks and even the opportunity to enjoy Disney’s Extra Magic Hours in the parks. But since there are over 25 Disney Resort hotels, how do you pick one to book for your next trip? The short answer is this—you can’t go wrong with any of them. (And remember that you can make your resort hotel reservations up to 499 days in advance of your arrival!) We’ve put together a short list of five Disney Resort hotels that are favored among Guests. Here they are in no particular order.

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
