3. Resort Activities
For those days when you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks, you do not have to go too far to find a relaxing activity at your Disney Resort. Every Resort has an expansive, beautifully themed swimming pool, with water slides, kiddie pools, and hot tubs. Some Resorts have more than one pool, including what is known as “quiet pools” which are away from the main themed pools, and tend to have less activity. For the younger guests, there are Pirate excursions, where children can don pirate bandanas, board a watercraft (pirate ship) and become a member of a group of swashbucking pirates searching for pirate booty, while they enjoy snacks of goldfish, pretzels, and juice boxes. There are several ports of call and different Disney marinas. Also, only at a Disney Resort can you sit around a campfire at Disney’s Fort Wilderness, eating hot dogs and singing and dancing with Chip and Dale.
