3. Ariel
Most of The Little Mermaid is spent "under the sea", and so we'll focus on Ariel's marine aesthetic for her makeup style. While vibrant red hair may be her most striking feature, this aquatic princess's purple and green outfit is a close second—and even though the two hues might sound intimidating, it can easily be done if a light touch is used! Choose a purple eyeshadow (or liner, if you want a more defined look) and line your upper and lower lashes, then select a bright green shade for your lid. A shimmery green shade would be best; you might not have eyes as large as Princess Ariel's, but the shimmer will help enhance them! Apply sparingly, and blend well before adding a very small dose of brown, waterproof mascara—just in case you do end up going on an impromptu swim. You're "flippin' your fins" in the spirit of Ariel, after all, so who knows? Sunscreen, lip balm, and a refreshing facial mist will add dewy radiance to the overall look, preparing you for a day of whimsical swims and passionate musical numbers—because who doesn't love those?--and now you're (un)officially a royal mermaid. Congrats! Remember to skip the seafood. Photo credit Kandee Johnson on YouTube
