7 Beauty Looks To Unleash Your Inner Disney Princess

6. Belle

In her film Beauty and the Beast, Belle wears relatively little makeup (particularly compared to the other young women in her “poor provincial town”). A hint of tan or light brown eyeshadow with your ring finger, a very small amount of mascara on the outer lashes, some pink blush on the cheekbones, and a pink gloss on the lips will all combine for her everyday look—and it's definitely a wearable one. But if you're feeling like the spirit of Belle deserves something bolder, then read on for a magical, dramatic, and just plain fun look to try!

Purple and green may be Ariel's signature colors, but dark blue and gold are Belle's. To create a smoky eye with this dynamic duo, first apply a primer to the eyelids, as well as a neutral or white eyeshadow. Then, apply a traditional blue shadow across both upper eyelids, and focus a deeper, more vibrant blue on the outer corners; use very little product, and blend often. Keep applying until you're confident that your eyes radiate “adventure in the great wide somewhere” and blend a bit of that same dark blue on the outer lower lashes; now, it's time for the gold! Pat some gold, shimmery shadow onto the center of your upper lid, as well the inner corner of your eye and the space just underneath your brow's arch. Add black mascara, Belle's pink gloss, and a book—you're ready for your night in (or out), no prince required!

P.S. If this makeup look is too much for you, try Belle's normal beauty look and add a navy blue eyeliner. The result will still be a fun one!  Photo credit Kandee Johnson on YouTube
