7 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Dining at Walt Disney World

2. View Menus Online

When you are booking your dining reservations online or via the My Disney Experienceapp, you will have the opportunity to view the menu for the restaurant. You can view menus from any Disney restaurant by visiting disneyworld.disney.go.com and searching the restaurant’s name. Simply click “view menu,” choose the meal—breakfast, lunch or dinner—and see what’s in store for you and your family when you get to the restaurant!

1. Remember Your Camera At Character Meals

If you have booked a character dining experience at a restaurant at Walt Disney World, be sure to bring your camera (or smartphone with plenty of memory!).  Don’t forget your autograph book too. Characters present at those dining experiences are available to pose for pictures with you and your family. They’re only too happy to sign their “John Hancock” (or Mickey Mouse!) in your autograph book. Don’t leave your hotel without them!

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
