7 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Dining at Walt Disney World

There’s no better place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner than at the most magical place on earth—the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The many restaurants at Disney World offer dining experiences for every preference, every taste and every budget. At Disney, each meal is an experience all by itself, whether you’re sampling new fare, hitting up one of your old favorites or taking in a fun new character dining experience. Here are 7 things you might not have known about dining at Disney, and you’ll definitely want to remember them when it comes to having a magical dining experience in the parks!

7. Book Dining Reservations In Advance

Walt Disney World is a popular place, especially during holidays and during the summer. That means that in addition to making FastPass+ selections for attractions before you visit the parks, you also need to make reservations at each restaurant you want to experience before you visit Disney World. Dining reservations are so important that Disney opens up the reservation window 180 days in advance. So if you’ll be visiting the parks in March, you can (and should) make your dining reservations in September. And Disney makes it so easy for Guests to make those reservations. You can visit www.MyDisneyExperience.comto book, access the My Disney Experience app, or call (407) WDW-DINE. Whatever method you choose, just be sure to make your reservations early!

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
