There’s a lot of love about Epcot, but one activity that may be slightly overlooked there is character greeting. This isn’t to say that meeting characters at Epcot isn’t popular, and that the characters don’t accumulate lines. However, the lines at Epcot to meet characters don’t seem to be as exceedingly long as they sometimes get at the Magic Kingdom and at some of the more popular greets at Hollywood Studios. There are more than 8 character greeting experiences at Epcot, but here are 8 great ones to get you started.
8. Donald Duck in Mexico
One of the best things about meeting Donald Duck in Mexico is the fact that he is fully decked out in a poncho and sombrero. He truly looks like one of the three caballeros. Donald is always a lot of fun to interact with, no matter where you see him.
7. Belle in France
You can see Belle during dining experiences and at Enchanted Tales with Belle in the Magic Kingdom, which is not considered a regular meet and greet. However, this is the only traditional meet and greet for Belle in all four parks. If you visit her in France, you’ll see her in her humble peasant clothing, not her canary ball gown.
6. Snow White in Germany
Looking to spend a quiet moment with the always-charming Snow White? You’ll find her nestled toward the back of the Germany pavilion making new friends throughout the day.
5. Alice in the United Kingdom
Alice’s greeting location is just outside the cottage in the United Kingdom. This meet and greet location is popular, partially due to the fact that it is right along the main thoroughfare in the World Showcase. Despite having a long line of guests to meet, Alice may take the time to have a conversation with you, and perhaps even teach you how to properly bow to the Queen of Hearts!
4. Duffy the Disney Bear
If you’re like me, perhaps you didn’t “get” Duffy at first. Upon doing a little research, I learned that Duffy is actually Mickey’s bear, given to him by Minnie who thought Mickey could use a companion for his international travels. Mickey and Duffy enjoy their voyages together, visiting new places and having adventures.
Duffy can be found at the entrance to the World Showcase from Future World, across from the World Showcase Lagoon boat launches. Duffy has become very popular; there are even outfits available for Duffy dolls so you can dress him up in Disney attire and as other characters. If you visit the “Kidcot Fun Stop” stations throughout the World Showcase, your little ones can color and decorate cardboard Duffy bears for free.
3. Mulan
If you head over to the China pavilion, don’t miss the opportunity to meet one of Disney’s beautiful warrior princesses: Mulan. Mulan can only be met at Epcot, so don’t miss her! You can find her outside of the Temple of Heaven in the China pavilion.

2. Princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Please note that this one is princess dining, not a traditional meet and greet. I’ve included it on this list, however, because many people are unsuccessful in getting reservations for Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom) and don’t always think of this equally princess-packed dining opportunity. If you dine at Akershus, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, and Snow White or Mary Poppins. That’s certainly a meal with a lot of princess-punch!
1. Disney Visa Character Meet
Do you have a Disney Visa card? If so, head over to Innoventions West between 1:00-7:00 for a special cardholders-only meet and greet. The characters vary, but it is usually some combination of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy. Along with this experience, you can receive a free 5 x 7 photo. Here’s a tip- when selecting your photo, you don’t actually have to choose the one from your Visa meet. If you prefer another photo that you’ve had taken throughout the day, they’ll print that one for you instead!
