Japanese Hidden Path

Just behind the big tower in the Japan pavilion, there is a winding path that leads up behind Katsura Grill, the counter service restaurant. At the end you will find a small, secluded courtyard with umbrellas, a few tables, and paper lanterns. (Also—restrooms!) But the real joy is in the journey. The path to the courtyard goes over a babbling brook that cascades over smooth rocks and hosts ducks and koi fish. We’ll sometimes grab a shaved ice (with sweet milk topping, of course) and wander the path just for fun.
