7. The “Presidential Seal” of approval
The Hall of Presidents, which is the closest manifestation to Walt Disney’s original concept for his One Nation Under God attraction, is more than just a theatrical presentation honoring the services and contributions of the nation’s Commanders and Chiefs throughout history. It is also a federally recognized presidential museum and features a wide range of authentic presidential artifacts. Profuse displays in the pre-show area contain such finds as painted eggs from White House Easter egg hunts, dresses from former first ladies, a golf club from Woodrow Wilson, a powder horn from Theodore Roosevelt, a beer mug used by George Washington, boots and other accessories from former presidents, and so much more. Aside from the White House it is the only place permitted to display the Presidential Seal and required an act of Congress to gain permission to do so. You will find it in the carpet as you enter. A gate encases it to prevent guests from stepping on it.
