8 Things That Will Give You Goosebumps at Epcot

Epcot Spaceship Earth

A trip to Disney is full of experiences that will give you butterflies, take your breath away, or send you into a tizzy of child-like wonder. Our favorite experiences are those that give you goosebumps, and a visit to Epcot is sure to give you plenty. Here is our list of the eight things that will give you goosebumps on your next trip to Epcot!

8 – Arriving by Monorail – we love visiting Epcot and arriving by the monorail. Unlike arriving at the Magic Kingdom and being dropped off at the front gates to the park, the monorail ride to Epcot takes guests into the park and gives them a 360-degree view of what is in store for them – views of Future World, a glimpse of the countries of the World Showcase, and a mesmerizing look at the geodesic sphere known as Spaceship Earth. Arriving by monorail gives you a sense of excitement and wonder that you won’t get when you arrive by bus or car.

7 – Taking Flight on Soarin’ – Soarin’ will soon be back open and we love the feeling off flying over the various sights. The experience is heightened with the inclusion of the scents that are piped in at different points during the ride. We love ending our night at Soarin’ to get that last bit of excitement before taking a long walk back to the bus to head back to our resort. We sure hope that the scents are not removed when the attraction opens back up!

6 – Hitting 65 MPH on Test Track – the fastest ride at Walt Disney World is at Test Track, where guests can design their own concept vehicles. During the course of the ride, the power of the designs are put to the test and guests will hit speeds of 65 MPH! This attraction never fails to give us goosebumps even though we know exactly when the power test is coming!

5 – Blasting Off on Mission: Space – regardless of whether you are blasting off on the orange or the green mission, Mission: Space will give you just the right amount of butterflies in your stomach as your simulator rotates back and your rocket is thrust into outer space. We can’t figure out if the goosebumps that we get are from the nerves of blasting off or from the serious fun factor that this attraction has to offer!

4 – Viewing of IllumiNations – every night at Epcot, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth takes center stage on the World Showcase Lagoon. We love staking out our favorite spot before the show begins and waiting with anticipation for the show to begin. The mixture of fireworks, video screens, and lasers makes this a show not too be missed!

3 – Meeting Royalty – if your day at Epcot involves meandering around World Showcase, you have the opportunity to meet many of the Disney princesses. Guests can meet Mulan in China, Snow White in Germany, Aurora and Belle in France, Alice and Mary Poppins in the United Kingdom, and Jasmine in Morocco. Your kids will definitely get goosebumps waiting in line to meet their favorite and the adults just may, too!

2 – Experiencing New Cultures – when in World Showcase, spend some time exploring the different pavilions and you will be able to find new cultural activities. You can watch the waiters in France perform a street show, or you can see a movie about Canadian or Chinese culture. Be sure to grab a Times Guide when you arrive at the park to make sure you know what is going on!

1 – Exploring the Seas – we love stopping by the Seas Pavilion and looking at all of the marine life in the aquarium. You can see the dolphins and sharks, as well as many variety of fish. Seeing the size, scope, and all of fish in the tank, it definitely gives us goosebumps and also lets us rest our legs and cool off!

Disney World is full of experiences that will give you goosebumps and these eight are our favorites at Epcot. What gives you goosebumps when you visit Epcot?
