2. It Isn’t What It Seems

This is a shock to many, but the Magic Kingdom actually sits on a second level! The Magic Kingdom was designed to house an underground system (called the “utilidors”), which cast members would use to enter the park. The sole purpose of this was, that the guests wouldn’t see employees walking into work, therefore dispelling or popping the Disney Bubble. Because Florida’s landscape couldn’t handle a true underground system, the utilidor tunnel system was built, and the park was built on top. A highly sophisticated system, the utilidors have continued to impress cast members and the luck guests who have toured them.
