Baby Found on Disneyland Ride Leaves Guests Baffled

Disneyland Resort guests made an unusual discovery while waiting in line for a ride at one of the Southern California theme parks. They shared their finding on social media, which prompted a discussion among Disney Parks fans about guests leaving “pixie dust” behind for others.

When you think about getting “pixie dusted” at The Happiest Place on Earth, you’re probably thinking about Disney cast members making unexpected magic for guests. However, some Disney Park guests have taken the initiative to make their own magic in recent years, leaving trinkets and little gifts around the Disney parks for other families to find.

The practice is controversial. Some Disney Parks fans find it a harmless addition to the magic of their vacations, while others compare it to littering.

A recent Reddit post from u/Brief_Maintenace_49 reignited the contentious discussion about “pixie dusting” at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney. The guest shared pictures  of a tiny plastic baby they found perched on a ledge in the Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway queue:

The post received hundreds of supportive votes and comments. Many Disney Parks fans appreciated the anonymous stranger’s efforts and shared their “pixie dusting” memories.

“I found a awesome [3D] printed toy of a skull with tentacles inside of a divers helmet in Grand Californian on top of a trash can,” said u/Silojm.” I love hiding stuff too, I’ve hid a couple Disney Doorables and a mini Captain America shield.”

“People do this on Disney cruises, too,” u/teddyburger wrote. “It’s fun to find surprise little ducks in random places!! My toddler & I had a blast finding them & re-hiding them.”

“The kids at my daughter’s elementary school trade those little plastic ducks,” u/socal-sally replied. “It’s a whole thing. They’re like currency.”

Still, others discouraged the practice, “downvoting” those who supported it. One compared theme park guests who left “pixie dust” to immature “middle schoolers.”

Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort don’t officially ban “pixie dusting,” but Disney cast members are instructed to submit abandoned objects to lost and found or toss them. If you want to share the magic with other guests, it’s better to offer gifts face-to-face to ensure your efforts aren’t wasted!
