An emergency situation unfolded recently at Disneyland Resort, causing a significant number of guests to flee from Disney California Adventure Park’s iconic Pixar Pier area.
Reports indicated that the incident began shortly before the Disney park’s scheduled closing time at 10:00 p.m. As chaos ensued, Disney cast members swiftly facilitated an orderly evacuation of the affected area.

One TikTok user (@presleyspam49) captured video footage of the rush to leave Pixar Pier, though they mistakenly said that the entire Disney California Adventure Park was evacuated instead of just one area.

Attendees clarified through comments that the evacuation was localized, with many stressing that only Pixar Pier and the nearby Paradise Gardens Park area were evacuated while other areas of Disney California Adventure Park remained unaffected.
“I was there, they only evacuated Pixar Pier it was already almost 10 p.m.,” @mcmendoza090 wrote. “…It was close to closing time. We were coming off Pixar Pier when they were trying to get everybody out of that area. But we stayed in cars land until closing with no problem.”
“We were there we were about to ride [Goofy’s Sky School] and they said we needed to exit,” @sradurazo replied. “…Even the cooks were leaving from the restaurants nearby.”
Speculations on Cause
In the wake of the incident, speculation arose regarding the cause of the emergency evacuation. Some Disney Park guests began discussing a potential gas leak as a reason for the abrupt evacuation. Rumors circulated on TikTok, though there was no official confirmation or detailed explanation from Disneyland Resort.
“A worker told us it was an emergency,” said @skyedecosta.
Aftermath and Park Operations
Following the incident, Disneyland Resort quickly implemented procedures to ensure guests could return to enjoying the park. Disney California Adventure Park reopened the following day, and normal operations resumed.
