Anaheim, CA — On the evening of August 20, 2025, at approximately 9:21 PM, Anaheim Fire Department and Anaheim Police responded to a stabbing report near the area of W Katella Avenue.
Units arrived on scene to find one victim outside a Disneyland hotel, suffering from a stab wound. The victim, whose identity and condition have not yet been released, was quickly transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
Authorities arrested the suspect at the scene, though the motive for the attack remains unclear at this time.
A section of W Katella Avenue, about a quarter mile long, was cordoned off as investigators processed the scene.
Due to the closure, Disney visitors were forced to navigate around the area, walking through the street to continue on their way.
While the investigation is ongoing, Anaheim authorities have not provided further details regarding the circumstances of the incident.
Instagram user @vmelaniee_ said her boyfriend works at Hotel Indigo Anaheim and reported that a “homeless man got stabbed” at “random.” While this could not be independently verified, she stated that the victim was in stable condition at the nearby hospital.

“I heard he was ok and he was recovering,” she wrote. “I also heard they arrested the man and he stabbed someone else at the DoubleTree hotel across from Disneyland.”
Disney Fanatic could not confirm claims about a second stabbing at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton in Anaheim. Disneyland Resort has not released a public statement regarding the incident, which did not take place on its property.
