In August, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay confirmed the permanent closure of Stanley Falls Flume Ride. The water ride was one of the park’s first amusement attractions, debuting in 1973 when the park expanded beyond its original roots as an animal park and botanical garden. For more than 50 years, it remained a staple for families looking to cool down in the Florida heat.

While longtime Busch Gardens fans will miss the log flume’s winding track and splashdown finale, the Tampa Bay theme park still boasts an impressive lineup of attractions. Congo River Rapids continues to offer splashy fun, while roller coasters like Iron Gwazi, Cheetah Hunt, and Montu keep thrill-seekers coming back for more.
