Soarin’ Changes for EPCOT Guests as of September 17, 2025

Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT is undergoing a facelift for 2025, as Disney Park guests have begun noticing changes to the iconic flying simulator attraction. The changes began in early September, with Disney debuting brand-new costumes for cast members at the World Nature attraction. This was the first update to the ride’s costumes in many years.

The first Soarin’ attraction, known as Soarin’ Over California, opened at Disney California Adventure in 2001. The ride was a hit, offering guests a breathtaking simulated hang-glider flight over California’s most famous landmarks, including Malibu Beach, Yosemite Falls, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Walt Disney World Resort followed suit in 2005, opening its own version of the attraction in EPCOT’s The Land Pavilion.

In 2016, both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort updated the ride to Soarin’ Around the World, allowing guests to fly over iconic international landmarks, such as the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal in India, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The updated ride has since expanded globally, with similar versions opening at Shanghai Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea under different names.

Fast forward to 2025, and EPCOT’s Soarin’ Around the World is receiving some love after nearly two decades of operation. As part of the update, Disney cast members debuted new uniforms that reflect a more modern and sleek style, shifting from the older, more traditional designs to flight attendant-inspired looks. In addition to the updated uniforms, Walt Disney World Resort is also offering exclusive new Soarin’ merchandise. As reported by Laughing Place, the Creations Shop at EPCOT now carries a bright blue t-shirt featuring the Soarin’ logo on the front and a pilot Mickey Mouse “travel the world” design on the back. The shirt is available for $34.99 in adult sizes.

Unfortunately, the new shirt isn’t currently available on the Disney Store website. However, the online store is offering a matted artisan print inspired by Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT for $39.99.
