Disney Just Gave Soarin’ a New Future at EPCOT

If you’ve ever visited EPCOT, chances are you’ve taken flight on Soarin’ Around the World. The beloved attraction is tucked inside The Land pavilion and has become one of the park’s most dependable crowd-pleasers. Guests return for the breathtaking sights, the sweeping score, and those famous scents that put you right in the middle of each scene. But this week, the ride quietly received an update that could shape its future in a big way.

On September 1, 2025, Disney rolled out brand-new uniforms for Soarin’ Cast Members. Gone are the retro flight-attendant outfits that once defined the attraction’s look. In their place is a sleeker, more practical design: a blue three-quarter sleeve shirt, layered navy vest, and pants accented with red. The Soarin’ wings pin remains, keeping the attraction’s signature style intact .

It might not sound like much, but new costumes are a major signal in the Disney universe. The company doesn’t put money into wardrobe redesigns unless they plan on keeping an attraction alive and thriving. Think of it as a quiet but clear statement: Soarin’ isn’t heading for retirement. If anything, it’s preparing for new life.

This move also fits Disney’s larger push to modernize Cast Member looks across the resort. Recently, Pirates of the Caribbean debuted updated costumes, borrowing elements of flexibility and immersion from Galaxy’s Edge. Comfort and function are now as important as theming, and Soarin’s new look checks all the boxes.

For longtime fans, the update is reassuring. With so many changes happening at EPCOT—new pavilions, attractions, and transformations—there was always the chance that Soarin’ could eventually fade into the background. Instead, Disney seems to be doubling down, ensuring the ride remains part of EPCOT’s core lineup.

And here’s the exciting part: uniforms are often the first step. Disney could be laying the groundwork for bigger updates, whether that means new ride tech, enhanced visuals, or a refreshed film in the future. While nothing official has been announced, history shows that when Imagineers start making small changes, more are usually on the horizon .

So, while it might have been easy to miss, Disney just gave us a quiet promise: Soarin’ will continue to soar. Not just as a classic, but as a vital part of EPCOT’s next chapter.
