A viral video from Walt Disney World Resort’s Hollywood Studios theme park has ignited a fierce debate online. The footage, shared by Instagram user @magicfans.sebas, captures the moment when Sorcerer Mickey greeted two children for a hug, only for one to grab Mickey’s arm and jump, causing the Disney character performer to fall.

The incident has sparked intense backlash on social media, with many Disney Parks fans criticizing the boy’s parents for not stepping in to stop their child’s behavior.
“The kid put his full weight on Mickey’s arm and knocked him TO THE GROUND!” @shelby_via_ wrote. “If I was the parent, we’d be leaving immediately and not coming back. I just hope that the kid and parents apologized after they stopped recording.”
“Parents…Teach them manners!” said @nanubravo.

“You all do realize that 99% of the time that Mickey is played by a tiny woman… and if a 9-year-old boy hung on my shoulder/arm like that it would hurt me… dislocate, sprain, pop…” @rebwilson added.
However, not all comments were critical of the child. Some defended the young Disney Park guest, arguing that he didn’t mean any harm.
“It wasn’t that bad!” @nehuenproducciones_ commented. “They’re kids.”

“The kid clearly didn’t have any intentions to harm Mickey!” @julianolivares replied. “The person portraying [Mickey] is a drama queen!”
Mickey Mouse’s character attendant and Disney PhotoPass photographer quickly responded to the situation, checking on the performer’s condition. It’s unclear whether the performer was momentarily unconscious or simply remained still to avoid further injury, as the costume can be pretty heavy and difficult to maneuver.
Disney Fanatic could not confirm whether the family faced any consequences from Walt Disney World Resort, and the status of the Mickey Mouse character performer remains unknown.

These people comments about he’s only a kid, he didn’t mean to hurt Mickey, Mickey person, girl, or boy, shouldn’t have to be subject to rude kids or their parents that think he’s cute. Should have been escorted out of the park with warning, next time it’s a life time ban. My child was taught to respect others, parents nowadays don’t care
