Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort this fall may be surprised to discover that part of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience has come to an end. Without any official announcement from Disney, one corner of the Magic Kingdom Park location has now been permanently closed.
Large blue curtains with gold tassels currently block off a section inside Sir Mickey’s, the Fantasyland merchandise shop that has long hosted a very special Disney PhotoPass Studio. Until recently, children who completed their makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique could be escorted here for professional photos in their new gowns, costumes, or accessories. But according to a report from WDWNT, as of September 24, 2025, that option is no longer available.
For many families, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is an essential part of a Disney vacation. Children between the ages of three and twelve can choose makeover packages inspired by Disney Princesses, Encanto (2021), or valiant knights. Depending on the tier, the packages include everything from simple t-shirts to deluxe gowns and royal accessories.

Walt Disney World Resort once boasted three Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique locations — one at Magic Kingdom Park, another at Disney Springs, and one at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down Disney parks in 2020, both the Disney Springs and Grand Floridian locations never reopened. That left Magic Kingdom’s boutique, located inside Cinderella Castle, as the last remaining option for families.
Walt Disney World Resort has not revealed what will happen to the former PhotoPass Studio space at Sir Mickey’s. The shop continues to sell Disney Princess dresses, accessories, and souvenirs, but the dedicated photography area remains hidden behind curtains.

On September 5, Disney did confirm upcoming changes for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience. Both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will be streamlining their makeover offerings with simplified packages. In addition, the Fairy Godmother will begin making personal visits to children during their appointments.
