Disney Announces Historic Change to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at U.S. Parks

This fall, a new chapter begins for one of Disney’s most beloved offerings for children: the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Starting in early October 2025, the Fairy Godmother will join Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. Her arrival will bring an in-person character interaction to the popular makeover experience, available inside Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom and within the courtyard of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Park.

Disney has also confirmed that the boutique will be introducing a simplified set of makeover packages later this year. While the specific details have not yet been revealed, the changes aim to make choosing an option easier for families. The current lineup spans from the Knight Package, beginning around $19.95, to the Princess Signature Dress Package at $450. In between, guests can select from choices like the Carriage Package, Castle Package, Deluxe Castle Package, or themed transformations such as the Disney Encanto Package.

For years, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has delighted children ages three to 12 with its immersive storytelling and personalized transformations. Guided by apprentices, princess makeovers may include hairstyling, makeup, nail polish, and sparkling accessories, with gowns inspired by characters including Cinderella, Ariel, and Elsa. Knights, on the other hand, receive styled hair with colorful gel, along with a sword and shield to complete their look.

Each boutique visit is designed to feel like a moment straight out of a storybook. Walt Disney World’s location inside Cinderella Castle places guests in the heart of one of Disney’s most iconic landmarks, while Disneyland’s Fantasyland boutique offers its own castle backdrop. The royal salon décor, character roleplay from cast members, and the excitement of the “big reveal” all combine to create a one-of-a-kind Disney Parks tradition.

Disney PhotoPass photographers are often present to capture portraits, ensuring that families have lasting keepsakes from the experience. Because of the boutique’s popularity, reservations are strongly encouraged, with booking windows opening 60 days in advance and earlier access available for guests of Disney Resort hotels.

With the Fairy Godmother now stepping into the experience and packages being reimagined, Disney continues to evolve the boutique in ways that highlight the parks’ dedication to immersive storytelling. For many families, a stop at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique transforms a day at the parks into a treasured fairytale adventure, creating magical memories to last a lifetime.

Thomas Hitchen

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
