Walt Disney World recently implemented a notable increase in parking fees across all four theme parks. The standard parking fee has been raised to $35, marking a $5 increase from the previous rate. For those with oversized vehicles, the fee has jumped from $35 to $40.
Preferred parking now ranges from $50 to $60, an increase from the earlier range of $45 to $55. This adjustment in parking prices is part of a broader trend of price hikes for various experiences within the park, including admission tickets and special experiences like the buildable droid and lightsaber options at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Parking Perks for Guests
Despite the increase in parking fees, Disney does offer a number of perks for certain guests that can make visiting the parks more economical. Hotel guests who stay at any Walt Disney World Resort can take advantage of free self-parking, which alleviates some financial strain when coming to the parks.
Additionally, annual passholders enjoy complimentary parking at all theme parks, further enhancing the value of their investment. Guests visiting the water parks, such as Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, as well as Disney Springs, can also enjoy free parking, encouraging visitors to explore these areas without worrying about extra fees.

For those opting not to drive or looking to avoid parking fees, Disney provides various complimentary transportation options that are not only efficient but also enjoyable. Disney's complimentary bus service connects all four theme parks with Disney resorts and Disney Springs, making it easy for guests to navigate the expansive resort without a personal vehicle.
Another popular transportation method is the Disney Skyliner, which offers a scenic ride that connects several hotels with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. This aerial gondola system is often viewed as one of the most fun ways to travel around the park, combining efficiency with a unique experience.
Guests staying in hotels such as Disney’s Contemporary Resort or the BoardWalk Inn have the added convenience of being within walking distance of parks like Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, further minimizing the need for transportation. This accessibility often enhances the overall experience, allowing guests to hop between parks with ease.
