Disneyland Paris Resort is transforming its second theme park, Walt Disney Studios Park, and the original signage is already starting to disappear.
Walt Disney Studios Park, which opened in 2002 as the European Disney Resort’s second theme park after Disneyland Park, was once envisioned as a celebration of movie-making. Despite its cinematic inspiration, the park struggled to achieve the same acclaim as its neighbor, facing lukewarm reviews and financial difficulties during its early years.

When The Walt Disney Company regained majority control of Disneyland Paris Resort, leadership promised sweeping updates aimed at revitalizing the park’s image and experience. Those promises led to a slate of new attractions and lands inspired by blockbuster films, including the addition of a Frozen (2013)-themed area and a new ride based on The Lion King (1994).
In April 2024, Disney announced that Walt Disney Studios Park would be rebranded as Disney Adventure World, officially marking its transition from a behind-the-scenes focus to immersive worlds inspired by beloved stories. The reimagined park will open alongside the debut of World of Frozen in 2026, expanding the park’s footprint and offering new attractions, dining, and entertainment options. Earlier this year, the European Disney park unveiled the first stage of its transformation with a redesigned entrance area known as World Premiere, which replaced the former Front Lot.

As construction continues throughout the park, the rebranding process has moved to the front gates. Over the weekend, Disney cast members began removing the large “Walt Disney Studios” lettering that adorned the park’s signature archway — a fixture that had greeted guests for more than two decades. On Sunday, X (formerly Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared two images showing that the large “Walt Disney Studios” sign had been removed from the archway at the front of the second European Disney park:

The removal revealed a visible outline of the original letters against the lighter-colored façade. A new “Disney Adventure World” sign is expected to replace the original display ahead of the official name change.

Disney Adventure World is set to debut in spring 2026 at Disneyland Paris Resort, aligning with the opening of the World of Frozen area. During this transition, guests visiting the resort can expect to encounter construction walls, temporary closures, and modified walkways as the park evolves toward its new identity.
