Disneyland Will Expand to Las Vegas, Project Begins in November

Mickey Mouse is on the move — and this time, he’s bringing a little piece of Disneyland Resort magic to Las Vegas. The Walt Disney Company has officially confirmed that the world’s most famous mouse will take part in an all-new collaboration with Formula 1, marking the beginning of a project that will bring Disney’s signature storytelling and entertainment flair to one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

Disney and Formula 1 Join Forces for “Fuel the Magic”

The collaboration between Disney and Formula 1, titled “Fuel the Magic,” was first announced in May but is now set to debut at the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November 2025. The partnership will showcase Disney’s creativity on a grand scale, combining the excitement of racing with the wonder of the Disney parks. According to the companies, the project is scheduled to officially kick off next month.

Theme park reporter Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) shared details from the announcement on X (formerly known as Twitter):

NEW: The Disney and Formula 1 collaboration will launch at the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November! ‘Fuel the Magic’ will include a performance at the Fountains of Bellagio featuring Mickey Mouse, Disneyland Band national anthem performance, fan experiences, and more.

The 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place from November 20 to November 22. As part of the festivities, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto will appear at various fan experiences and performances throughout the event. The characters will participate in meet-and-greets and a special pitlane walk, giving race fans and Disney Parks fans alike a one-of-a-kind crossover experience.

For the first time ever, Maestro Mickey Mouse will take center stage in front of the iconic Fountains of Bellagio. The original Disney Live Entertainment production promises a spectacular showcase of music and pyrotechnics inspired by Mickey & Friends. The official press release reads: “The Mickey & Friends-inspired moment will captivate fans with an immersive show featuring enchanting music and thrilling pyrotechnics.”

The one-of-a-kind performance from Disney Live Entertainment will feature music, thrilling pyrotechnics, and more.

To kick off race-day festivities, the Disneyland Band will also travel from Southern California to perform the national anthem, continuing Disneyland Resort’s 70th-anniversary celebrations. This rare appearance outside the Disney parks will bring a touch of Main Street, U.S.A., to the heart of Las Vegas Boulevard.

In addition to performances and appearances, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will headline a community day in Las Vegas focused on inspiring local children.

Disney x Formula 1 Merchandise Launch

Naturally, a collaboration of this size comes with new collectibles. The Disney x Formula 1 merchandise line will debut on November 8 at the F1 Las Vegas Hub, Presented by American Express, inside the Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Some pieces of the capsule collection will also be available online for North American customers through the official Disney Store website.

“Fuel the Magic” Continues Beyond 2025

While November’s Las Vegas event marks the beginning of the project, Disney and Formula 1 have confirmed that the “Fuel the Magic” partnership will continue into the 2026 and 2027 racing seasons.

The 2025 race will take place from November 20–22, 2025. The “Fuel the Magic” campaign will continue through the 2026 and 2027 Formula 1 seasons.

Fans in the United States can watch the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix on ESPN or the ESPN app on November 22, 2025. International Formula 1 viewers should check local listings for broadcast times.
