Disneyland Ends Select Ticket Sales, Effective January 2026

Disneyland Resort abruptly terminated its discount ticket partnership with Costco this week, leaving confused customers empty-handed at warehouse stores across the country. The sudden end to the promotion caught many shoppers off guard, with some arriving at Costco locations only to discover the deals had vanished overnight.

Disneyland Resort and Costco launched their latest collaborative ticket offer in November, selling two-day Park Hopper packages for $389.99. The deal granted access to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park starting January 8, 2026, with an expiration date in June. Lightning Lane Multi Pass was included in the price.

Theme park journalist Scott Gustin shared details of the promotion on X (formerly known as Twitter):

NEW: Costco has revealed its latest Disneyland ticket deal. The $389.99 2-day Park Hopper includes Lightning Lane Multi Pass and is valid starting Jan. 8, 2026. Ticket expires 13 days after first use or on June 12, 2026. Park reservations required.

The package represented a downgrade from Costco's previous Disneyland Resort offering, which sold for $449.99 and included a three-day Park Hopper, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and a $30 Disney Dining card. Despite the reduced value, Disney Parks fans rushed to Costco stores to secure savings on their Southern California theme park vacations.

Stores Ordered To Pull All Disneyland Tickets

Neither Disneyland Resort nor Costco announced a firm end date when introducing the discounted tickets, stating only that availability would be “limited time.” That vague deadline became concrete this week when Costco locations nationwide received orders to immediately remove all Disneyland Resort ticket packages from shelves.

Reddit user u/mccooey17 attempted to purchase the discounted tickets this week but encountered unexpected resistance. The customer posted:

“Disney pulled the 2-day tickets from Costco. I went to purchase online and the page went dead. I drove to my local Costco and they said as of last night (1/4) Disney ordered all tickets be pulled and can no longer be sold. I called another Costco to confirm, same thing.”

Some Customers Saw Warning Signs

Several Reddit commenters indicated their local Costco stores had telegraphed the promotion's imminent conclusion, though many shoppers missed the signals.

“I was shopping in Costcos website and saw a banner advertising ‘last day to purchase 2 day tickets,'” said u/Terrible_Salt7906. “I assumed it was just the last day of the promotion, but the stores you called made it sound like a last minute surprise.”

Reddit user u/Beeblebrox66, apparently a Costco employee, revealed the company had internal knowledge of the deadline:

“I saw an internal email atleast 2-3 weeks ago reminding us about the end date for sale. It was always a limited time deal, thats why every warehouse was (supposed to be) pushing it hard by the entrance through the holidays.”
