After Three Decades, Disney Announces Beloved Event Will Make Big Return in 2026

Disney World recently confirmed a major event will return in 2026, and fans are going crazy over it!

For longtime visitors, the confirmation sends a clear message. This isn’t just another seasonal offering. It’s something Disney views as essential to the park’s identity moving forward.

EPCOT’s Identity Is Built on Its Events

EPCOT has never relied solely on attractions to define it. Its events shape the park just as much as its permanent offerings.

Festivals transform familiar spaces. Menus change, pathways feel new, and guests experience EPCOT differently depending on the season. That flexibility keeps the park feeling alive year-round.

Because of that, locking in events years in advance matters. It shows EPCOT is doubling down on what continues to connect with guests.

More Than Three Decades of Growth

The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival stands as one of Disney World’s longest-running seasonal traditions. For over 30 years, it has grown in scope without losing its original charm.

The festival started small, centered on gardens and floral displays. Over time, it expanded into a full-scale celebration while preserving its relaxed tone.

That balance defines its appeal. It celebrates spring without overwhelming the senses.

A Park Transformed by Design

During the festival, EPCOT becomes a living exhibit. Character topiaries, themed gardens, and floral installations fill the park.

More than 60 topiaries inspired by Disney favorites appear across EPCOT. Alongside them, over 31 gardens and floral displays invite guests to pause, explore, and appreciate the details.

That slower pace sets the tone. EPCOT becomes a place to wander rather than rush.

Fresh Flavors Take Center Stage

Outdoor Kitchens return as a core part of the festival. These food locations focus on fresh, garden-inspired dishes explicitly created for the event.

The menus feel lighter than EPCOT’s other festivals, which aligns perfectly with the season. Guests snack without feeling weighed down.

The Garden Graze food stroll adds an interactive element. A Festival Passport turns tasting into a goal-driven experience, encouraging exploration across the park.

Garden Rocks Sets the Mood

As night falls, live music becomes the centerpiece. The Garden Rocks Concert Series fills America Gardens Theatre with familiar hits and energetic crowds.

Concerts run every weekend and include a mix of established artists and newer performers. Guests can attend with regular EPCOT admission, with seating available on a first-come basis.

Confirmed performers include: The Music of ABBA (March 5–7), Simple Plan (March 8–9), Blue October (March 13–14), Billy Ocean (March 15–16), THE ORCHESTRA starring former members of ELO & ELO Part II (March 20–23), Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone (March 27–28), 38 Special (March 29–30), Chubby Checker (April 3–4), Sugar Ray (April 5–6), Information Society (April 10–11), Rick Springfield (April 12–13), Berlin (April 17–18), The Commodores (April 19–20), FireHouse (April 24–25), Air Supply (April 26–27), A Flock of Seagulls (May 1–2), Plain White T’s (May 3–4), Katrina formerly of Katrina & The Waves (May 8–9), 98 Degrees (May 10–11), The Spinners (May 15–16), Josiah Queen (May 17–18), Iam Tongi (May 22–23), A.J. Dining Packages Add Certainty

Dining packages offer a way to guarantee concert seating while enjoying a meal beforehand. Guests can dine at select EPCOT restaurants and head to the show knowing their seats are secured.

Reservations open February 5 through the My Disney Experience app and the official Walt Disney World website. Packages include a full meal or buffet with a beverage, plus a shared option at Spice Road Table.

A Festival That Welcomes Everyone

The festival balances adult-focused offerings with kid-friendly experiences. Spike the Bee’s scavenger hunt gives children a reason to explore EPCOT.

Families can also enjoy a spring-themed egg hunt and a colorful butterfly garden. These activities keep the festival accessible and engaging for all ages.

Why the 2026 Confirmation Matters

Disney's confirmation of this event’s return in 2026 reinforces its importance. This isn’t about a ride or a show—it’s about tradition.

After more than 30 years, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival continues to thrive. In a park shaped by constant change, that kind of consistency still feels special.
