Disney Finally Restores 6 Hotel Perks for 2026 After Massive Price Increases

It’s no secret that Walt Disney World vacations cost more than they used to. Tickets rise. Resorts follow. Add-ons stack quickly. For many families, planning now feels more strategic than spontaneous. That’s why Disney’s latest move for 2026 stands out. Without much fanfare, the company has restored six hotel perks that bring real value back to staying onsite.

Those perks don’t erase higher prices, but they do change the math.

The Onsite Question Guests Keep Asking

Staying at a Disney hotel used to feel like an easy choice. Transportation was included, planning felt smoother, and guests enjoyed built-in advantages. As prices climbed, that decision became harder.

Disney’s 2026 perks aim to answer the lingering question: Is staying onsite still worth it? For many families, these benefits make a strong case.

Dining Becomes Manageable Again

Dining reservations have frustrated guests for years, but 2026 brings relief. Disney hotel guests can begin booking dining reservations 60 days before arrival and secure meals for their entire stay at once, for trips up to 10 nights.

That change removes one of the most stressful parts of trip planning. Popular restaurants fill up quickly, and having a single booking window restores a sense of control and fairness for onsite guests.

Resorts Feel More Magical With Characters

Disney found success in 2025 by bringing characters directly to select hotels, and that experiment continues in 2026. Scheduled meet-and-greets at resorts allow families to enjoy character moments without park tickets or long waits.

This perk reshapes downtime. Arrival days and rest days become opportunities for magic rather than missed moments, making the resort feel like part of the experience.

Early Entry Evolves for Summer

Early Entry remains a standout perk for Disney hotel guests, offering access to the parks 30 minutes before opening every day of the stay. That advantage alone helps guests avoid long lines and crowded mornings.

During Cool Kids Summer in 2026, Disney layers in special character appearances exclusive to that early entry window. With different characters appearing in various parks, guests have a reason to switch up their early mornings.

A Water Park Welcome

The water park check-in perk returns for 2026, but only during the summer. Hotel guests receive free admission to a water park on their arrival day.

This perk transforms what’s often a wasted travel day into something memorable. It’s especially valuable during the hottest months, when water parks offer instant relief.

Lightning Lane Timing Still Matters

Lightning Lane access continues to favor onsite guests. Disney hotel guests can begin booking selections seven days before arrival, covering their entire stay for up to 14 days.

That extra time can define the entire trip. Popular attractions disappear quickly, and early access often separates smooth park days from frustrating ones.

Late Nights Stay Exclusive

Extended Evening Hours remain limited to Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts. On select nights, eligible guests enjoy two extra hours in certain parks after closing.

With lower crowds and cooler temperatures, these nights feel more relaxed and exclusive, helping justify the higher resort price point.

The Extras That Quietly Help

Free hotel parking, complimentary transportation, and convenient onsite dining still round out the experience. Combine those with a growing list of 2026 discounts, and Disney’s intent becomes clear.

The vacation may still cost more, but for 2026, staying onsite once again comes with meaningful advantages that make the choice easier.

  1. Bring back the airport transportation that was the best thing about staying at Disney hotels

  2. The free fast passes, the extra hours for all resorts, and ship to the hotel/resort would be nice to have back.

  3. I’m hoping that Josh D’Amaro does a deep dive into pricing across the board and somehow gets them lower. Ride capacity needs review and ride queues need to be reasonable and comfortable. Bring back FastPass so that families can afford vacation at WDW. Cost savings starts at the top so executive compensation and bonuses need to be reined in. We went to Disney 35 times in a row but haven’t been there since 2020. We’d like to return someday soon!

  4. I agree Tommy, over paid executives are not a good look for disney, they keep raising prices across the board on their hard working fans while they keep getting massive raises and profits. Lower prices and adjust the profit margins.

  5. Bring back early hrs at least 1 hr and keep the parks open until midnight or 1 am like it used to be. This year Disney made over 10 billion dollars give cast worker a great rase, bring back some of the ride’s that people love to ride and looking forward to ride. Drop the the cost to come there and drop the price of staying at the resort. Bring back what made Disney World and land the magical place.

  6. Need to bring the parks back to what Walt intended it to be, affordable and a place for families to have fun without mortgaging the house.
