Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney California Adventure Park will close indefinitely on April 6, 2026, with no announced reopening date, according to Disneyland Resort's updated operational calendar.
The Pixar Pier attraction's closure was announced on February 23. Disneyland Resort's schedule extends only through April 6, providing no timeline for when the ride will return.
Possible Toy Story 5 (2026) Connection

Disneyland Resort updated Toy Story Midway Mania in May 2025 as part of the Southern California Disney park's 70th anniversary celebrations, adding holographic sticker targets and digital graphics. Those themed decorations are scheduled through August 9, 2026, and will likely remain after the April refurbishment is completed.
Toy Story 5 premieres in theaters on June 19, 2026. Disneyland Resort may be updating the attraction to tie in with the film, though the Southern California Disney vacation destination hasn't confirmed this.
Everything Disney Park Guests Need to Know

Nearby Pixar Pier attractions, including Incredicoaster and Pixar Pal-A-Round, will continue operating during the closure.
Versions of Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo DisneySea at Tokyo Disney Resort will continue to operate normally, even after the ride closes at Disney California Adventure Park. Neither Disney park has announced updates to their versions of the interactive simulator ride.

The indefinite closure leaves guests planning Disneyland Resort trips unsure whether Toy Story Midway Mania will be available during their visits. Disney‘s refusal to provide a reopening estimate suggests either the timeline is uncertain or the company wants flexibility to extend the closure if needed.
Disneyland Resort has not explained the scope of work planned for the Disney California Adventure Park attraction or whether guests will notice changes when it reopens.
