Disneyland Resort has launched “Women Who Make The Magic Guided Tour,” spotlighting the often-overlooked female pioneers who shaped the park's design, attractions, and storytelling since 1955.
The two-hour experience is debuting as part of Disneyland Resort's 70th anniversary celebration, offering Disney Park guests headsets with curated soundtracks while expert guides share stories of the women who built the Happiest Place on Earth.
Highlighting Forgotten Contributions
Disneyland Resort describes the “Women Who Make The Magic Guided Tour” as an opportunity to “Travel through the living storybook of Disneyland Park and take in its realms of whimsy as you witness firsthand the accomplishments of legendary women—all leaders in their fields—who helped make this original Disney theme park a reality.”
The tour includes stories about the lives of Harriet Burns, Alice Davis, Mary Blair, Ruth Shellhorn, Leota Toombs, Kim Irvine, Dorothea Redmond, and others. Guests learn how these women “got their start at The Walt Disney Company, made names for themselves, and paved the way for future generations to succeed and continue the unparalleled legacy of Disney storytelling.”
Booking Details
The tour costs $110 per guest ages 3+ (plus tax). Disney Visa Cardholders may qualify for discounts. February 2026 dates are sold out, with availability beginning in March.
Disneyland Park admission is required but not included in the tour price. Depending on their ticket type, guests may need valid Disney Park Pass Reservations for Disneyland Park on the tour dates. Guests under 14 must be accompanied by an adult 18+ years old.
