“Endangered” Person Reported Missing at Disney World

Law enforcement responded to a concerning call near Walt Disney World Resort early Tuesday morning after an endangered person was reported missing in the Bonnet Creek hotel corridor.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, the scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime on X (formerly Twitter) flagged an active police response on Via Encinas. This road loops around the cluster of Bonnet Creek hotels situated within Walt Disney World Resort's gates:

Via Encinas runs alongside Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek, Bonnet Creek Resort, and Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. While these properties are inside the Walt Disney World Resort gates and are closest to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, none are owned or operated by Disney.

The exact hotel from which the endangered person went missing has not been identified, and it remains unclear whether the individual has been located. Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor local law enforcement has issued any public statement about the Tuesday morning response.

No Impact to Theme Park Operations

Guests currently visiting Walt Disney World Resort should not expect any disruptions connected to this incident. Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney Springs were all operating normally in the hours following the law enforcement response.

As is standard during any emergency activity on or near Walt Disney World Resort property, guests who encounter first responders or restricted areas should follow all instructions from authorities and cast members on the scene.
