Rolling planters and missing fixtures have quietly signaled the start of something new near one of Disney's Hollywood Studios' oldest attractions: Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!.
A Long-Dormant Spot Gets Attention

A former merchandise kiosk adjacent to Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney's Hollywood Studios is showing signs of active construction this week, with guests noticing changes to an area that has sat largely unused for years. The kiosk hasn't sold Indiana Jones merchandise since before the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered the Disney parks, and a prop truck that once occupied the space was removed around the same time. In the years since, the area has served mostly as a spot for outdoor snack and beverage carts.
BlogMickey was first to flag the changes on March 17, reporting that a net that previously covered the area had been removed along with a digital tip board screen displaying attraction wait times. Rolling planters — the Disney parks' familiar shorthand for “something is happening here” — had been installed around the area.
What the Site Looks Like Now

By March 18, WDWNT had shared additional photos showing further changes at the site. The merchandise kiosk has been largely stripped away, with only a few wooden posts that once supported the missing net and a prop shed remaining.
Disney removed the screen from the digital tip board but left the themed wooden frame surrounding it intact.
Walt Disney World Resort has not offered any public comment on the project or indicated when it might be complete. The nearby Backlot Express Quick-Service dining location and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! itself are both operating normally throughout the construction activity — though the stunt show continues to run without its legendary 400-pound boulder special effect, which has been out of commission since a cast member was injured in an incident last year.
Have you noticed any other construction at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park? Disney Fanatic would love to hear from you in the comments!
