Walt Disney World just made a move that longtime fans are going to recognize right away—even if it wasn’t loudly announced.
A popular hotel perk is coming back, and it’s set to roll out starting in June 2026. It’s the kind of update that doesn’t need much explanation once you hear what it is.
And with summer right around the corner, it could quickly become one of the most talked-about parts of planning a Disney vacation again.
Why Guests Keep Choosing Disney Resorts
There’s a reason guests continue to stay on Disney property, even as offsite options grow. The convenience alone makes a strong case.
Transportation connects everything. You can leave your hotel and get to the parks without ever needing to think about driving. Buses, boats, Skyliner gondolas, and the monorail all work together to keep things moving.
Dining also plays a big role. Whether you want something quick or a full sit-down meal, it’s all within reach. Mobile ordering has made things even smoother, letting guests skip lines and pick up food on their own schedule.
The overall atmosphere adds another layer. Disney resorts extend the experience beyond the parks, keeping you surrounded by the same level of detail and storytelling.
Then there’s the planning side. Early theme park entry helps guests get ahead of crowds, while earlier booking windows for dining and Lightning Lane access give resort guests a clear advantage before their trip even begins.

The Perk Everyone Recognizes
That’s what makes this next update stand out even more.
Starting June 28, 2026, Disney will offer a complimentary dining plan to guests who book a qualifying vacation package. That means meals are included in the experience rather than something you pay for along the way.
To qualify, guests must book a non-discounted package that includes at least four nights at a Disney Resort hotel and a four-day Park Hopper ticket.
The offer is only available for a limited time, with bookings required by April 30, 2026.
Travel dates are also limited to select periods, including late June through early October, parts of October, and mid-December.

What’s Included in the Standard Plan
The traditional Disney Dining Plan covers a wide range of meals during your stay. For each night you’re booked, every guest ages three and up receives a set number of meal credits.
That usually includes one quick-service meal, one table-service meal, and a snack or drink each day. Guests also get a refillable mug for use at their resort.
It’s a setup that gives you flexibility while keeping your meals organized in advance. You can plan dining reservations or stay flexible depending on how your day unfolds.
A Simpler Alternative for Faster Trips
Not every trip includes time for sit-down meals, and Disney offers another option for those guests.
The quick-service dining plan focuses on faster meals, giving guests two quick-service options per night instead of splitting between table-service and quick-service locations.
It also includes a snack or drink and a refillable mug, making it a simple and efficient way to handle meals throughout your stay.

What You Need to Book This Offer
There are a few requirements to keep in mind before jumping in.
This offer is only available to guests staying at Disney Resort hotels, and you must book through a Walt Disney Travel Company package that bundles your hotel and park tickets together.
You’ll also need to act quickly. The booking window closes at the end of April, leaving little time for guests still deciding on summer plans.

Why This Could Shape Summer Travel
Bringing back free dining at this point in the year feels intentional. Summer is one of the busiest times at Walt Disney World, and guests are always looking for ways to make their trips easier.
This perk does exactly that. It simplifies dining, reduces out-of-pocket costs during the trip, and gives guests another reason to stay on property.
For many, it feels like a return to a familiar Disney vacation. And as June approaches, it could become one of the biggest deciding factors in where guests choose to stay.
