Coloring Comes to Critter Co-Op
Walt Disney World Resort guests reported on June 3 that a Cool Kids Coloring Corner had appeared inside the Critter Co-Op gift shop near Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Park. The setup is simple and inviting: two picnic tables positioned near the check-out area, stocked with crayons and a selection of Disney-themed coloring sheets. Despite the name, the offering is open to guests of all ages — not just the youngest visitors.
WDW News Today shared a photo on Facebook showing guests already settling in to enjoy the activity, which fits naturally into the surrounding gift shop without disrupting browsing and purchasing.
The Cool Kids Coloring Corner is part of Cool KIDS' SUMMER at Walt Disney World Resort and is expected to remain available through September 8, when the summer programming wraps up across the Central Florida Disney parks.
What Cool KIDS' SUMMER Offers This Year
Now in its second year, Cool KIDS' SUMMER runs from May 26 through September 8, 2026, and includes a mix of food and beverage offerings, ticket deals, exclusive pin trading, and special entertainment experiences aimed at younger Walt Disney World Resort guests.
New additions for 2026 include Jessie's Roundup in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park. Returning favorites include GoofyCore at EPCOT, the interactive character experience that transforms CommuniCore Hall with Goofy-themed programming each summer. Special Cool KIDS' SUMMER offerings are also available at select Disney Resort hotels throughout the season.
Guests looking to explore everything the event has to offer can pick up a custom kid-themed guide map at the entrance to any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks.
