Disney World Releases Cinderella Castle Suite at Magic Kingdom, Open To Guests

Very few Disney experiences are as difficult to access as spending the night inside Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom.

Although millions of guests pass beneath its towers every year, the castle's private suite remains unavailable through Disney's regular booking system. Instead, overnight stays are reserved for select promotions, invited guests, and special charitable initiatives.

Cinderella Castle has welcomed Magic Kingdom guests since opening day in 1971 and continues to serve as the visual centerpiece of Walt Disney World Resort. Reaching 189 feet into the Florida skyline, the structure draws inspiration from European castles, while celebrating Disney's 1950 animated film Cinderella.

Beyond its role as the park's signature landmark, the castle is central to the guest experience. It hosts Happily Ever After each evening, sits at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and houses Cinderella's Royal Table, where guests dine with Disney Princesses throughout the day. For many visitors, it's the destination that defines their first visit to Magic Kingdom.

Behind the castle walls sits one of Walt Disney World's best-known secrets.

The Cinderella Castle Suite occupies the upper floors of the castle and was designed to resemble a luxurious 17th-century French château. Decorative murals, elaborate furnishings, and stained-glass-inspired windows help create an experience unlike any other room on Disney property.

Guests can't reserve the suite, regardless of budget or availability. Disney instead awards stays through select contests or extends invitations to VIP visitors and celebrities.

Singer Katy Perry is among those to have stayed there, while previous Disney promotions celebrating major resort milestones have also included overnight visits. Because opportunities remain exceptionally limited, each stay has become a memorable part of Disney Parks fan discussions.

The latest opportunity to stay in the suite supports a charitable cause. Through the Royal Dream Come True sweepstakes, hosted in partnership with the Our Change Foundation, participants can enter by making a donation of at least $10. Funds raised benefit Give Kids The World, helping provide memorable vacations and experiences for children living with critical illnesses and their families.

The campaign allows Disney fans to pursue one of the resort's rarest prizes while contributing to an organization dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for families during challenging times.

Disney crews are repainting and refreshing sections of the landmark as part of ongoing preservation efforts. Guests visiting Magic Kingdom in recent months have spotted scaffolding and work areas while Disney restores the castle following years of exposure to Florida's climate.

For Disney fans who have always wondered what it's like to spend the night inside Cinderella Castle, this sweepstakes presents one of the only opportunities to make that dream possible. Every $10 entry helps support Give Kids The World's mission while also offering the chance to win one of the most exclusive overnight stays anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort.

Thomas Hitchen

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
