Universal Orlando Annual Passholders are getting six weeks of new discounts, exclusive food, merchandise offers, and extended lounge access beginning August 15. What they are not getting—at least not yet—is repeat admission to Epic Universe.
Universal has now detailed its 2026 Passholder Appreciation Days, running through September 30 across Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, CityWalk, and participating hotels. The collection of benefits is substantial, particularly for passholders planning multiple visits or an overnight stay.
It also highlights the strange position Universal’s loyalty program occupies more than a year after Epic Universe opened: The resort has more reasons than ever to own a pass, but no existing Universal Orlando Annual Pass includes its newest theme park.
Universal’s Passholder Nights Are Already Full
The celebration begins with Passholder Nights at Universal Studios Florida on August 15 and 16. The complimentary after-hours events promise access to select attractions and entertainment, special character encounters, a DJ dance party, and a giveaway.
However, anyone who has not already registered is currently out of luck. Universal’s website says the event has reached capacity and is no longer accepting reservations. Passholders were limited to one of the two nights.
That rapid sellout demonstrates both the appeal and limitation of exclusive benefits: An event can add meaningful value to a pass, but only for the people able to secure its limited inventory.
The remaining Appreciation Days offers will be more widely accessible. Universal is advertising 30% off select Express Passes purchased at front-gate windows, an additional 10% discount when using mobile food and drink ordering, and 10% off qualifying dining and merchandise purchases for Seasonal and Power Passholders.
Passholders who spend $100 at participating merchandise locations can also receive a $15 credit. There is an important condition buried beneath the headline figure: The credit applies to a future purchase of at least $50, is single-use, and has no cash value.
Other benefits include 35% off an in-park My Universal Photos Annual Pass Package, 50% off qualifying Wizarding World merchandise-personalization services, and 10% off same-day Volcano Bay cabana and premium-seating rentals. The UOAP Lounge in Toon Lagoon will remain open from park opening through park closing during the celebration.
A complimentary passholder giveaway will become available August 15 at the Toon Lagoon lounge and The Tonight Shop while supplies last. Universal has not yet revealed what that item will be.
Hotel Savings Could Be the Most Valuable Offer
The largest direct savings may be waiting outside the parks.
Passholders can receive up to 40% off select hotel stays from August 15 through September 30. The offer applies to Sunday-through-Thursday stays at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Universal Stella Nova Resort, Universal Terra Luna Resort, and Universal Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites.
Actual savings depend on the hotel, date, availability, and applicable restrictions. Still, guests planning a weekday trip may save considerably more through the hotel promotion than through a free giveaway or limited-edition menu item.
That makes Appreciation Days more than a collection of novelty perks. Universal is creating incentives for passholders to eat, shop, and stay across the destination during the late-summer transition into Halloween Horror Nights.
Universal has used the event for years to strengthen the value of its pass program. Inside the Magic previously documented the return of Passholder Appreciation Days and exclusive offerings, while the 2026 resort calendar has placed even greater emphasis on passholder events and seasonal experiences.
Epic Universe Remains Outside the Pass
Despite that investment, Universal’s Annual Pass lineup still stops at the gates of Epic Universe.
Passholders can buy dated, nontransferable Epic Universe add-on tickets. Universal is currently advertising savings of up to 40% on select dates, combining its standard 15% passholder discount with additional summer savings.
That can make an individual visit considerably cheaper. It is not the same as annual access.
Inside the Magic has tracked Epic Universe tickets falling below $100 on select dates and the resort’s use of larger limited-date discounts. Universal has also surveyed select guests about possible future pass structures, although surveys are market research—not product announcements.
There is one encouraging official statement. Universal’s Epic Universe ticket FAQ says additional details about passes that include the park “will be announced at a later date.” The company has not disclosed when that announcement will arrive, what those passes might cost, or whether access will involve blockout dates or reservations.
Until then, Passholder Appreciation Days make existing Universal Orlando passes easier to justify—but not complete. Discounts can soften the cost of loyalty. They cannot replace the freedom to return to the resort’s newest park without buying another ticket.
