Universal Orlando Passholders can now look farther into 2027 when planning a visit to Epic Universe—and pay less than the general public to get through the gate.
The latest Passholder ticket calendar displays dated Epic Universe admission through July 2027. That is welcome news for guests hoping to return next year without paying the standard one-day price. However, it also extends Universal Orlando’s current arrangement: Passholders must continue purchasing admission to Epic Universe one visit at a time.
The calendar does not confirm that an Epic Universe annual pass has been delayed through July. It does, however, show that Universal is prepared to keep selling the separate tickets deep into next summer.
Passholders Get a Lower Price, Not Included Admission
Universal Orlando’s existing passes cover Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, with certain three-park products also covering Volcano Bay. Epic Universe remains outside that lineup.
According to Universal Orlando’s Passholder ticket information, eligible guests can purchase a specially priced, date-specific Epic Universe ticket after linking an active Annual or Seasonal Pass to their account. Prices and availability vary according to the selected date.
Passholders may buy tickets for multiple visits, but each pass can be linked to only one add-on ticket per date. The admission is nontransferable, and guests must present the linked pass and photo identification when entering Epic Universe.
There is one unusually helpful provision: the pass must be valid when the ticket is purchased, but the selected visit may fall after that pass expires. That allows someone approaching a renewal decision to secure a 2027 Epic Universe date without first committing to another full year.
Universal has also advertised savings of up to 40% on select Passholder dates, combining the standard discount with an additional limited summer offer. As Inside the Magic previously reported, some Passholder tickets dropped below the three-digit mark during eligible periods. The maximum discount is not available on every date, so guests should compare the calendar rather than assume one advertised percentage applies throughout 2027.
The July 2027 Calendar Is a Clue, Not a Confirmation
The larger story is not simply that more tickets are available. It is that Universal has released another extended window of separately paid Passholder admission while leaving its annual-pass structure unchanged.
Universal’s official Annual and Seasonal Pass FAQ says an Epic Universe-inclusive pass is not currently available and promises more details “later.” It does not provide a launch date or guarantee that such a product will arrive during 2027.
That distinction matters.
Universal could introduce a new pass before July and modify the existing ticket system. It could allow guests to apply qualifying ticket purchases toward an upgrade. It could also sell a reservation-based or heavily restricted product alongside the one-day option. None of those possibilities has been announced.
Inside the Magic has previously examined potential pass and reservation concepts presented in a Universal guest survey. Surveys demonstrate that a company is studying possible products; they do not establish which ideas, if any, will reach the market.
The new calendar therefore supports a narrower conclusion: Universal currently has a workable way to serve Passholders through July 2027 without giving them annual admission.
Epic Universe Still Operates as a Separate Purchase
For local Passholders, that distinction changes how the park fits into daily life.
An annual pass encourages spontaneous evening visits, seasonal return trips, meals inside the park, and the freedom to leave after only a few hours. A dated one-day ticket encourages guests to treat Epic Universe as a planned event—and to make each paid visit count.
That divide has existed since Epic Universe opened on May 22, 2025. Even as Universal expanded other ticket options, Passholders continued paying separately. Inside the Magic noted earlier this year that broader ticket flexibility renewed questions about when annual access might follow.
More recently, the price of entry began moving in the Passholder’s favor. That creates a curious compromise: Epic Universe is becoming less expensive to revisit, but it has not become part of the pass guests already carry.
For travelers building a 2027 vacation, the practical advice is straightforward. Compare individual dates, confirm the final price before checkout, and do not postpone a necessary ticket purchase solely because an annual-pass announcement might arrive. Universal has not published a timetable.
The July calendar may feel like a warning that a full pass is still far away. For now, it is evidence only of what Universal is selling—not proof of what the company will refuse to sell next.
