The Muppets’ latest park release has already hit an unexpected snag.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently gave the franchise a much larger role with Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. The attraction replaced Aerosmith with Kermit, Miss Piggy, and The Electric Mayhem, while retaining the coaster’s familiar high-speed layout.
Disney also reshaped the surrounding area with new merchandise and food. Rock Around the Shop carries Muppets clothing, plush toys, accessories, and collectibles, while FØØD by Swedish Chef serves snacks and drinks tied to the characters.
That expanded lineup briefly grew again on August 1.
A new Muppet Labs-inspired novelty flask appeared at FØØD by Swedish Chef as an optional upgrade with Pink Le-moi-nade and Pond Water Limeade. Within hours, however, Disney removed it from sale.
Disney Pulls New Muppets Flask From Sale
The novelty cup was designed around Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
One side carried the attraction’s logo. The other featured Kermit, Miss Piggy, and The Electric Mayhem riding inside a limousine, connecting the souvenir directly to the roller coaster’s new storyline.
Disney announced its arrival with a social media post:

The cups were no longer available by approximately 5:30 p.m. on August 1.
Cast members reportedly said they did not know when the flasks would return. Some also indicated that the item may not return at all, although Disney has not publicly confirmed that the release has been permanently canceled.
The company originally described the novelty cup as available “while supplies last.” That wording would normally suggest the item had simply sold out after attracting strong demand.
Reports from the park, however, indicate that Disney deliberately removed the remaining stock from sale.
No official reason has been provided for the decision. Disney has not issued a public recall notice, identified a manufacturing problem, or announced that the flask requires a design change.
The cup could return at a later date, particularly if its removal involved a temporary operational or merchandise issue. Disney has not given guests a revised release date or confirmed that another shipment is planned.
Anyone who purchased the flask during its short period on sale now owns one of the earliest pieces of merchandise tied to the updated attraction.
The Muppets Remain Prominent at Hollywood Studios
The flask’s removal does not affect the rest of the Muppets collection currently available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Guests can still purchase Kermit and Miss Piggy NuiMOs, plush keychains, clothing, necklaces, and other products at Rock Around the Shop. FØØD by Swedish Chef also continues to sell its existing Muppets-inspired menu items.
Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets remains the franchise’s main attraction at the park.
The updated coaster arrived after Disney closed Muppet*Vision 3D in 2025. That attraction had operated at Hollywood Studios since 1991 and was one of the final Muppets projects completed with Jim Henson’s involvement.
Disney closed the theater and surrounding area to make room for a planned Monsters, Inc. expansion. The decision prompted renewed calls from fans for Muppet*Vision 3D to be preserved or moved elsewhere at Walt Disney World Resort.
The company has not announced a new location for the show.
Instead, Disney has concentrated its current Muppets presence around the reimagined roller coaster, Rock Around the Shop, and FØØD by Swedish Chef.
The franchise has also gained fresh attention outside the parks. A Disney+ special starring Sabrina Carpenter premiered in February and revived the format of The Muppet Show.
Fans have since pushed for a full-season renewal, although Disney has not confirmed that more episodes are moving forward (but this could change with D23 right around the corner).
