Disney Resort hotel guests have a fast-approaching deadline to take advantage of every benefit currently included with an onsite stay. Walt Disney World has confirmed that three well-loved perks will no longer be available after September 8, giving guests just a limited window to enjoy them before they disappear.
Not every hotel benefit is going away. Popular offerings like Early Theme Park Entry, complimentary transportation, and early Lightning Lane booking will remain available. However, anyone checking into a Disney Resort hotel on September 9 or later will find that a few vacation extras are no longer part of the experience.
Disney Resort Hotels Continue Offering Valuable Advantages
For many families, booking a Disney Resort hotel is about much more than staying close to the parks. The hotels are designed to make the entire vacation feel easier, with benefits that begin before guests ever step onto their first attraction.
Visitors staying onsite receive complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World, Early Theme Park Entry each morning, and earlier access to Lightning Lane bookings than most offsite guests. Those advantages can save time and reduce stress, especially during busy travel seasons.
Disney also introduces special offerings throughout the year, giving resort guests even more ways to enjoy their vacation. Because onsite visitors typically spend several days at Walt Disney World, they're often able to make the most of these experiences before heading home. Three of those additions, however, are almost finished.

Guests Have Until September 8 to Enjoy This Free Benefit
One of the biggest reasons many families booked a Disney Resort hotel this summer has been complimentary water park admission on check-in day.
Guests arriving through September 8, 2026, receive free admission to either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park as part of their hotel stay. Instead of using their arrival day to unpack and settle into their room simply, they can begin their vacation with a visit to one of Disney's water parks.
That extra admission has helped families get more value from their vacation while turning travel day into another day of fun. Whether guests spend time floating along a lazy river, relaxing in the wave pool, or enjoying water slides, the benefit gives them another full Disney experience without having to buy another ticket.
Guests checking into a Disney Resort hotel beginning September 9 will no longer receive complimentary water park admission. Disney has confirmed the benefit will return during summer 2027, but it won't continue once this year's promotion concludes.

Families Will Also Say Goodbye to Extra Entertainment
Disney's Cool KIDS' SUMMER celebration is also nearing its final days.
Available through September 8, the event has brought additional family entertainment across Walt Disney World, including pop-up dance parties, character appearances, interactive activities, and other experiences designed with younger guests in mind.
Although these activities have been available to all park visitors, Disney Resort hotel guests have often enjoyed the greatest advantage. Staying onsite for several days gives families more opportunities to discover surprise entertainment across multiple parks, rather than trying to experience everything in a single visit.
The added programming has helped keep children entertained between attractions and made the parks feel even livelier throughout the summer. Cool KIDS' SUMMER is scheduled to end as Walt Disney World begins shifting toward its fall entertainment offerings.

Resort Hotels Will Begin Scaling Back Summer Activities
The parks aren't the only places where guests have found additional entertainment.
Throughout the summer, many Disney Resort hotels have offered expanded recreation schedules featuring crafts, family games, poolside entertainment, and evening activities. Those experiences have encouraged families to spend more time enjoying their resort, even on days when they weren't visiting a theme park from open to close.
Whether guests were taking a break by the pool or relaxing after a full day at the park, the extra programming gave them more to do without leaving their hotel.
Disney has not announced all activities that will conclude, as recreation schedules vary by resort. However, these offerings have traditionally scaled back as summer comes to an end. With Disney's current summer campaign concluding after September 8, guests should expect many of these recreational activities to wind down around the same time. However, each resort will continue setting its own schedule.

Some Favorite Perks Are Almost Gone
Disney Resort hotels will continue offering many of the benefits that have made them popular for decades. Complimentary transportation, Early Theme Park Entry, and early Lightning Lane booking aren't changing.
Still, guests hoping to experience everything available this summer have only a short time left. Complimentary water park admission on check-in day, Cool KIDS' SUMMER, and expanded resort recreation have all helped make Disney Resort stays even more rewarding. Anyone arriving by September 8 can still take advantage of those offerings before Walt Disney World turns the page to its fall season.
