A newly opened roadway in the Magic Kingdom Resort area has triggered a permanent reshuffling of bus routes serving the area's Deluxe hotels. Walt Disney World Resort guests staying at or traveling between those properties will want to know what's changed before they rely on the old system.
What Prompted the Changes

The updates trace back to a road project that concluded last week, when the newly constructed Floridian Way opened in the Magic Kingdom Resort area. The updated roadway replaces the intersection at Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way, which was permanently closed in July as part of the broader infrastructure work in the area. With traffic patterns around the original Central Florida Disney park now reconfigured, Walt Disney World Resort has made corresponding adjustments to its bus transportation network.

Disney cast members confirmed to WDWNT that the changes are permanent and are designed to make transportation to Magic Kingdom Area Resorts more efficient under the new road layout.
The New Bus Routes

On Monday, WDWNT reported that several bus routes at Disney's Hollywood Studios had been updated — changes that are also now in effect at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
The most significant shift combines routes that were previously separate. Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort now share a bus stop at Gate 4 at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Buses departing from Hollywood Studios stop at Disney's Contemporary Resort first before making their final stop at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Wilderness Lodge have similarly been consolidated to a single shared stop at Gate 8 at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa maintains its own dedicated bus service from Disney's Hollywood Studios, currently operating from Gate 6.

Previously, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort shared a bus, while Disney's Contemporary Resort was often paired with Disney's Wilderness Lodge — an arrangement that has now been reversed under the updated system.
