Guests Beware: Leak Reported Above Main Entrance to Disneyland

The construction walls lining the walkway beneath the iconic Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris Resort came down earlier this month, but what they revealed wasn't quite the clean finish European Disney Park guests were hoping for.

Throughout 2026, the pedestrian walkway running beneath the Disneyland Hotel — the grand Victorian passage that serves as the main route to Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris Resort — was lined with construction walls, scrim, and barriers as Disneyland Paris Resort carried out a refurbishment of the space. The presence of construction equipment in the tunnel made the walk to the original European Disney park a considerably less atmospheric experience for families arriving at the resort.

On August 11, the barriers finally came down. Pixie Dust DLP confirmed the completion on Facebook, sharing photos of the restored Victorian walkway and its refurbished ticket booths:

Problems Persist

The same day the walls came down, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport shared three photos taken on the newly revealed walkway. While the construction barriers were indeed gone, something else had taken their place. A recycling bin, surrounded by stanchions, sat on the walkway floor, collecting water dripping from a leak discovered in the area. Guests were walking past it on their way into the original European Disney park.

Whether the leak was caused by the refurbishment work, pre-existed the construction, or is connected to some other infrastructure issue hasn't been explained. Disneyland Paris Resort did not respond to the post and has not publicly addressed the leak. Whether it has since been repaired is unknown.

The Disneyland Hotel continues to welcome guests, and the walkway beneath it remains open to visitors heading to Disneyland Park.
